Page 2 Wow. What. A. Day. Professor Elm was interesting. Different, yes, but not crazy. He couldn't really stick around to chat, though. He had a meeting elsewhere, so after giving me my first Pokemon, he pretty much threw the starter kit and a second Pokemon at me. No complaints, though. The supplies will be super useful. How does a research institution pay for free supplies and Pokemon...? And the second Pokemon? A Ralts. A blue one... (weird, right?) but a Ralts. And not the sad type of blue. The little guy is physically blue. I wish the Professor had stuck around so I could ask him what was up. Maybe it's been bred that way by the nutty Professor. Naturally, the first thing I did was meet my Pokemon. This was the whole point of today, anyways. First, my starter. An adorable, sweet little Chikorita with a vibrant green hue. Super timid, though. Blushing (as much as a Pokemon blushes) the instant she was out of her Pokeball. While I'm not as into names as Avaja other people, she still needed something meaningful. Vitae. Life. Sure, it's cheesy, with the whole grass-type thing. But I like it. And who's the trainer? Me. My curiosity began to hurt. I dug the second Pokeball from the mess of my bag and released the Professor's "strange Pokemon". First and foremost, psychic types are amazing (and good companions), so I loved this little guy as soon as his feet hit the grass. I tried talking with him, to get a name or to ask his opinion, but I guess he didn't feel like using telepathy. Must be his quiet nature showing through. Or maybe he's too young. Human babies can't talk right away, so why should a baby Pokemon? I bet he has some different views on the world, being a Pokemon and all. I call him Damien. "Subdued." I hope he loosens up over time, though. Alright, alright. The three of us need to go find Avaja now. The morning's long gone. Until next time. Note to Gem: Organize your bag. Sheesh.
